Your donation helps Rural Action provide programming, education, and outreach in our region. With your support, we can reach more families, support more entrepreneurs, and improve our environment here in Appalachian Ohio. The first $20 of your donation is applied towards membership dues; above and beyond this amount will be considered a tax-deductible gift to the organization. We accept gifts of all sizes, large and small. To apply your donation in honor or memory of another individual, a note may be added to the form. If you would like to discuss an in-kind gift, gift of property or stock, or corporate matched gifts, please contact us. Your support makes a difference, thank you!

Rural Action Membership

Our members are the heartbeat of our organization. By bringing new ideas, leading committees, and donating their time and resources, members play an active role in promoting Rural Action’s mission. The first $20 of your donation each year is applied towards membership dues; above and beyond this amount will be considered a tax-deductible gift to the organization. Memberships are good for one year. Your support makes a difference!

Giving Society

Ready to take your giving to the next level? The Rural Action Giving Society was established in 2004 to create a more sustainable funding structure for Rural Action and give community members an opportunity to contribute to the organization’s work on a long-term basis. Giving Society members make an ongoing multi-year pledge to Rural Action. Gifts can be made monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. If you are interested in joining the Giving Society and making a multi-year pledge to help sustain our organization in its work to create thriving communities and healthy environments in Appalachian Ohio, please contact Amy Lipka: 740-677-4047 ext. 160 or amy@ruralaction.org.

Current Fundraising Campaigns

Each year, our members and partners help us identify projects to improve their communities; sometimes though, the work we do to support rural people and places isn’t paid for through a grant or other fee. By donating to one of our current campaigns, you can help us secure funding for specific projects you care about. Keep up to date with our projects and campaigns by signing up for our newsletter and by following us on social media.

Planned Giving at Rural Action

Planned gifts made to Rural Action allow you to create a legacy of support for the work you love. If you are considering a planned gift, please contact us to discuss the type of gift you would like to leave or the work you would like to support through your legacy. You may also share this information with your attorney or financial planner: “I bequeath $_________ or _________% of my estate to Rural Action, Inc. 11350 Jackson Dr., The Plains, OH 45780.”

Have you already planned a gift to Rural Action? We’d love to hear from you. Please give us a call at 740-677-4047 or email debbie@ruralaction.org if you would like to discuss your planned giving. Thank you for your generosity and your concern for the future of the people of the region and the places we call home.

Rural Action Funds

To support Rural Action’s work far into the future, we have established endowment funds with two community foundations. These endowments allow us to set aside funds for specific programming, secure against unforeseen hurdles and help plan for organizational growth, all while protecting our longevity and legacy in Appalachian Ohio for generations to come.
