Julia Sullivan began as Rural Action’s Watershed Restoration Project Manager in 2021. She brings years of experience in watershed planning and a deep belief in community-driven restoration to this role. She looks forward to working with partners to develop wetland and riparian restoration projects that improve water quality in critical watersheds throughout Ohio.
Julia made the move to Athens after completing her graduate studies at the Yale School of the Environment and working as Watershed Coordinator with the Humboldt County Resource Conservation District. Prior to graduate school, Julia worked at an environmental nonprofit in Arizona, served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama, and coached high school cross country in her hometown in Massachusetts. She is thrilled to have landed in Appalachian Ohio and to have joined the tremendous team at Rural Action.
