Jessie Thompson

Jessie is the Chesterhill Produce Auction Site Associate. Jessie started with Rural Action as an independent contractor in 2020 working as the floor manager at the Chesterhill Produce Auction. Jessie became staff at Rural Action in August 2021 and transitioned into the full-time Site Associate in July 2023.

Jessie was born in Sistersville, West Virginia, and raised in St. Marys, West Virginia. Although she loved her hometown, life led her to Cutler, Ohio. Not too long after coming to Ohio she decided to become a state tested nursing aide in 2017, which she enjoyed for a few years. In 2020, she was introduced to the Chesterhill Produce Auction by her friend and neighbor Jessica Dotson. Jessie also was a participant of the Rural Action Incubator Farm where she learned to grow and sell food at the Chesterhill Produce Auction. She very quickly fell in love with what she now calls her “Auction Family”.

Jessie enjoys quilting, camping, fishing, gardening and spending time with her family and anything outdoors.
