Jess Fritz

Sustainable Energy Director

jessf@ruralaction.org

Jess is the program director for Sustainable Energy at Rural Action. Stemming from her background as a professional photographer, her interest (obsession?) for the uses and applications of light has grown from making art, through optics, light therapy and photosynthesis, to now powering her family’s Meigs county home from the sun. She has a lifelong love for the hills and forests of Appalachia, loves learning and saying the names of each creature she encounters there, delighting in the sheer abundance and resilience of life here.

When she isn’t talking to friends and neighbors about the benefits of solar energy, she can often be found hiking, gardening, making weird art, or reading anything good.
