Heather Fuston

Makerspace Manager

(740) 447-9014

Heather Fuston first joined Rural Action from 2014-2016 when she served as an AmeriCorps Member with Rural Action’s Zero Waste Program.  During that time she was deeply impacted by the work that the program does to reduce waste in our community and inspiring others to do the same.  In October 2023 Heather accepted the position of Community Makerspace Manager where she is responsible for growing the Makerspace’s engagement with the community and inspiring future upcyclers to grow their own maker skills.

Heather enjoys being outside with her partner and two sons – kayaking, camping, and mushrooming.  You can also find her at the Athens Farmers Market vending their farm to bottle hot sauces and fermented veggies.
