Join Rural Action for a community paddle on Leesville Lake from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25 (the rain date will be Sunday, Nov. 1 from 2 p.m.-4 p.m). NOTE: There is a new location where paddlers will meet. The coordinates are 40.4662, -81.1919 (click link to see it on Google Maps). The parking location and new launching location are right before the Leesville Lake South Fork Campgrounds.
It is recommended that attendees have some previous kayaking experience due to the colder temperatures this time of year. We will cover the history of Leesville Lake and the Conotton Creek Watershed. An experienced kayaker will share tips before we get on the water.
Face coverings will be required during registration but not during the event. Participants will be asked to sign a waiver form. Refreshments will be provided.
If you have your own kayak, please bring it to the paddle since we only have 10 solo kayaks and 2 tandem kayaks to loan. If you need to borrow a kayak, let us know when you register below and we will tell you as soon as possible if you have one reserved or have been added to the waiting list.
If you would like to support Rural Action’s watershed work, please consider making a donation.
