Many organizations are working throughout our region to improve watershed management. The Appalachian Ohio Watershed Council (AOWC) is a collaborative group of agencies, nonprofits, interest groups, companies, and individuals. We gather quarterly throughout the year to share updates, strategies, and resources. Occasional technical training and guest speakers bring an educational component that is specific to our region. Examples of recent training include QHEI, led by Ohio EPA, and an informational seminar on freshwater mussels by David Foltz with ESI.
