The Appalachian Clean Transportation (ACT) Initiative aims to engage a network of economic development partners, industry specialists, and statewide policy experts to plan implementation strategies that bring clean transportation infrastructure and development to Appalachian Ohio.
With grant funding from the Joyce Foundation, the goal is to bridge the gap in services, infrastructure and resources available to the region and accelerate demand for clean transportation. Through four regional conferences in Athens, Jackson, Ross, and Muskingum Counties, the ACT Initiative builds leadership and key networks to move regional clean transportation policy and planning work forward.
For more information, contact Sustainable Energy Director Sarah Conley-Ballew.
These events gather industry experts to discuss key issues related to clean transportation in Appalachian Ohio. The next forum will be held in Spring 2021. To get an idea of the types of discussions you can expect, check out the 2020 ACT Forum page for details.
