Have you wanted to pick up a new hobby and flex your creative muscle? Or maybe you have an interest in exploring new ways to express yourself? Are you ready for a fresh start and would like to develop the skills required to pursue new creative outlets?
We can help. We are offering scholarships to The Community Makerspace that include a full year Makerspace membership (a $400 value), giving you not only access to many of the tools you’ll need, but also providing free access to hands-on lessons covering how to use them through our workshops and classes.
The Makerspace area is 4,818 square feet broken into unique workshop areas. The following workspaces are available for use:
- Wood shop
- Metal shop
- Fabric/Fiber arts shop
- Plastics shop
- 3-D Printing/Laser Engraving workspace
The Community Makerspace Scholarship offers a wide array of courses to help you explore new creative opportunities.
Scholarships will be awarded based on a variety of factors ranging from economic need to the applicant’s desire to learn new skills.
