Rural Action’s Watersheds day camp returns to Tuscarawas County
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 18, 2023
NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio — Rural Action’s immersive and explorative environmental education watersheds day camp program returns to Tuscarawas County this spring, June 12–15.
To be held at Tuscora Park, 161 Tuscora Ave NW in New Philadelphia, Rural Action’s four-day Tuscarawas Watershed Day Camp is all about watershed learning through creek exploration, games, field trips, and nature-based crafts, for children ages 8–12.
Campers will get to unleash their curiosity and explore local forests, creeks, and trails. Rural Action’s Watershed camps are an introductory experience to the outdoors and a continued education for campers with more experience. These camps give all campers the chance to have fun in a safe environment with Rural Action’s environmental educators.
All campers will need to bring a water bottle every day, a change of clothes at the start of the week that we will keep, rubber boots if they have them, and comfortable walking shoes each day. Food included is the cost of a ticket and some outdoor clothing is available. The day camp requires no overnight stay; drop off is daily between 8–8:30 a.m. and pick up is 4–4:30 p.m.
Tickets start at $25 and scholarships are available upon request. If you are in need of a discounted registration fee, or have any questions, please contact Dan Vorisek at dan@ruralaction.org. Camp registration available on Eventbrite at tinyurl.com/tuscwater.
