Athens, OH— Are you curious about the outdoors? Do you want to learn how to fish and canoe? Looking to have a fantastic day of adventure with your family? Then Passport to the Outdoors is for you! Join Rural Action on Saturday, April 29 at the Strouds Run State Park beach from 1–4 p.m. The event is free for all participants and registration is not required.
Rural Action will host exciting interactive workshops about the great outdoors and our water resources. Participants can learn about aquatic critters up close, native plant themed crafts, learn the basics of archery, go fishing with take-home gear that we provide (ages 15 years and younger), go canoeing on the lake, and do some guided exploration to see what you can find!
This event is open to children of all ages and parents are encouraged to participate! In order for children to canoe on the lake (canoes provided), a parent or guardian is required to go with them.
