Would you like to reduce waste at your gathering with Zero Waste’s reusable dishware?

Do you have a family party or event coming up, and want to reduce waste? We’ve got a great way to help.
Rural Action can provide reusable serviceware in the form of cups, plates, bowls, as well as silverware for event hosts to rent. This can potentially save hundreds—perhaps thousands—of plastic forks, knives, spoons, plates, and cups from entering landfills, or worse: ending up in nature, where plastic shouldn’t be.
A simple Google search can show us the impact that plastics and waste have, locally and globally. It finds its way into the bellies of creatures, both land and sea; takes hundreds of years to decompose; and can potentially become more toxic when doing so. This persistent plastic pandemonium prevails ever stronger to this day, and pondering a solution to the polymer problem is proving to be quite puzzling.
However, there is hope. Solutions for this global plastic problem start with individual action. Every bit helps. If you, or someone you know, is planning on hosting an event, consider reaching out to Rural Action Zero Waste.
The process is simple: fill out the Reusable Dishware Checkout Form! Rural Action can loan out as many as 150 table settings at a single time, on a first come, first served basis, with email confirmation to follow.
And so long as you return the reusable service ware in full, this service is completely free! (Rural Action charges an initial deposit to utilize the service ware, and upon return, the deposit is fully refunded—so long as all of the service ware is accounted for and intact). Stickin’ it to plastic has never been so easy!
