Donation Station Tuscarawas County officially wrapped up its first market season on Oct. 12. With the help of the community, we were able to raise $2,030.06 . This resulted in 2,749.55 pounds of produce being distributed to five food pantries and hot meal providers throughout Tuscarawas County. Thank you for your continued support this summer.

If you, or someone you know, are passionate about food access here in Tuscarawas County, consider participating in a year of service. Rural Action Northern Programs is currently looking for a community member to serve as an AmeriCorps member for the Tuscarawas County Community Networks VISTA. Help make a difference in our county by continuing to operate and grow Donation Station Tuscarawas County.

The donation station will be at the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market’s Holiday Market on Nov. 22, from 3–7 p.m. at the New Towne Mall, 400 Mill Avenue SE Suite C8, in New Philadelphia. This is another chance to interact and make a monetary or produce donation.

Rural Action is a regional community development organization with a 32-county footprint working with members and community leaders on a range of quality of life, environmental, and economic projects across rural Appalachian Ohio.
