Rural Action seeks to hire a Makerspace Manager, Social Enterprise Coordinator, a Grants Coordinator, and a Northern Programs Manager. Here are details on each position.

Makerspace Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for oversight of all activities and daily operations at the Community Makerspace. Individual responsibilities include opening and closing the Makerspace, making sure that all equipment is safe and functional during all hours of operation, expanding the existing Makerspace membership and course offerings, strengthening the Makerspace’s online presence including the website and social media, and keeping track of finances.

Social Enterprise Coordinator

This position works with the Social Enterprise Director to collaborate with Rural Action staff to provide business analysis and support to social enterprises within Rural Action. These include Chesterhill Produce Auction, Zero Waste Event Productions, True Pigments, UpCycle Ohio Thrift, Community Makerspace, and Appalachian Understories.

Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant works under the direction of the Finance Director to manage accounting and internal controls for the organization, including preparing internal and external financial statements for grant and contract reporting and invoicing, managing insurance, grant portals and corporate documentation.

Northern Programs Manager

This person works under the direction of the Director of Northern Programs and in strong collaboration with Rural Action’s Watershed Program to support water quality improvement projects, environmental education and outreach, and the growth of programming in Tuscarawas County and the surrounding area.
