Grieving? Seek Solace in Nature
Research shows that spending time in nature has a profound and calming effect on our bodies and minds. OhioHealth and Rural Action are planning three nature walks designed to replenish our spirits, help us process and cope with grief, and give us a chance to share with and learn from others who have experienced the death of a loved one.
Here are two more walks planned in the Walking Through Grief series:
- Lake Hope Iron Furnace for butterfly watching – July 9 from 9-11 a.m.
- The Vinton Experimental Forest to take in the fall foliage – Oct. 15 from 9-11 a.m.
Nature education during the walks will be provided by Rural Action Environmental Education Director Joe Brehm.
