Picture of items in holiday bundlesThe Chesterhill Produce Auction has already exceeded last year’s sales, and there still are two Saturday auctions remaining, including the Holiday Auction. In addition, Holiday Bundles return this year, providing an opportunity to patronize local craftspeople and bakers with your holiday purchases.

“We were able to come back to a sense of normality this year,” says Jessica Dotson, CPA Site Manager. “We were able to have our community potluck before the final regular auction of the season. It was nice to end the season by sharing stories, food, and good times again.”

Here’s a rundown of the remaining auctions and this year’s Holiday Bundles:

  • Fall Consignment Auction: If you have items you’d like to sell at the consignment auction on Nov. 13, bring them on Friday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. As Mike the Auctioneer says: If you have yard sale items, leave them in the yard. The consignment auction is for higher quality tools, garden equipment, and other merchandise. This is an absolute auction with no reserves. The fee is 16% of the sale price.
  • Holiday Auction: This will be held on Saturday, Dec. 11 starting at 11 a.m. There will be plenty of gifts and seasonal products available. Walkthroughs begin one hour before the auction begins.
  • Holiday Bundles: There are three sizes ranging from $30 to $100 and including local treats and handmade goods, all packaged in a Chesterhill Produce Auction bag. Popcorn, bread, candy, candles, cutting boards, and rolling pins are among the items that can be found in the bundles. Orders will be taken until Dec. 1, and the bundles can be picked up at the CPA in Chesterhill or at the Rural Action office at 8 North Plains Road in The Plains.
