The service I do with Rural Action has not only introduced me to the important work of this organization, but has also opened the door to learning about the many other initiatives happening in the region. While serving with the Sustainable Agriculture team, I have formed relationships with farmers and community members that will last far beyond my term. As a beginning farmer, these relationships are so valuable to me. I have had the opportunity to learn from experienced farmers, have conversations with food justice activists, make connections between small businesses and producers, ask hundreds of questions, and feel like I am home.”
