“I am new to Southeast Ohio, having moved here from Ashtabula County. I’ve spent the past year in a new place during a very challenging and unprecedented time. Serving through AmeriCorps has allowed me to get a real feeling for the issues that are most important to our community. During a pandemic and quarantine where many individuals are experiencing a real sense of isolation, my service has given me an avenue to not only connect with the region and people, but a sense of pride in knowing that we are all in this together and ready to help each other in any way we can.”
