“By serving with AmeriCorps at Rural Action, I am able to be intertwined with the community in a few unique ways. An example of one of these opportunities is partnering with organizations like The Hive to help support resilience in our community throughout the pandemic. The Hive has been able to provide door-to-door programing to the children of the community. One of the most unique ways I’m able to engage with our community is providing aid to four local families in homeschooling their children as a response to Covid. Through these opportunities, I have been able to develop relationships with the families and we have worked to build community and resilience.”
