For Immediate Release

Mineral City, Ohio — Rural Action and the Huff Run Restoration Partnership will host an annual community meeting virtually on Friday, June 25 from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. There also will be an ice cream social on Sunday, June 27 from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. at the Mineral City Park.

This will be an opportunity to learn about both Rural Action and the Huff Run Restoration Partnership. The three speakers at the virtual meeting will talk about our history, the work we currently do, and the work we hope to do in the future. The ice cream social will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Stop at the park next to 8728 High St. NE, Mineral City for free ice cream as well as the opportunity to talk with our AmeriCorps Members about the work we do.

“It is important for the Huff Run Restoration Partnership to have a strong connection with the community because it allows us to do our service more effectively,” says Vicki Irr, AmeriCorps Member with Rural Action. “Community meetings give us the opportunity to learn more about our community’s needs. They also help us make valuable new connections and strengthen the existing connections we already have in the community.”

Registration is not required for either event. If you are interested in attending the community meeting, please go to https://bit.ly/3w1iSCH at 6 p.m. June 25 to join via Zoom. If you are interested in attending our ice cream social, we will be at the picnic tables at Mineral City Park with ice cream, pictures, and informational handouts.
