Media and Communications Director: This position has the broad responsibility of ensuring that Rural Action has and maintains a strong brand and works to increase its brand’s reach and brand alignment with Rural Action’s strategic goals. The Media and Communications Director leads and oversees the development of a range of core media and communications functions while also helping program staff follow organizational protocols and remain consistent with Rural Action’s overall communications and branding strategies and plans. Makerspace Manager: Are you familiar with the critical role makerspaces play for local entrepreneurs? Would you be comfortable overseeing the daily operations of a makerspace and fabric shop? We need someone with supervisory experience who has attention to detail and can think strategically about the role the makerspace plays for hobbyists and entrepreneurs in our community. For best consideration, apply by April 14.

Entrepreneur Outreach Specialist: Experienced community development professional needed to work with small business owners in Tuscarawas County. This is a temporary position for a contractor who will help identify the needs of business owners and offer referrals to resources that can help them. For best consideration, apply by April 9.

Small Business Web Development Intern: Rural Action seeks two interns who can help small businesses think strategically about their Internet strategy and assist them in launching websites. These 10-week internships start May 10. For best consideration, apply by April 11.

Food Access Assistant: The Food Access Assistant will confirm all food access orders to be purchased on Chesterhill Produce Auction days, procure the items during the auction, maintain records of purchases, lead a team in assembling produce prescriptions, load items into CPA refrigerated vehicles, drive to all end points, and maintain invoices. This is a contract position.

Local Produce Distribution Assistant: The Distribution Assistant will confirm all orders to be purchased on Chesterhill Produce Auction days, procure the items during the auction, maintain records of purchases, lead a team in assembling Buying Club shares, load items into CPA refrigerated vehicles, drive to all end points, and maintain invoices. This is a contract position.
