#WeAreAmeriCorps
“Despite a global pandemic, AmeriCorps has helped me stay connected to the community. I learned about the historic background of the communities in southeastern Ohio through tours like the People of Color exhibit in Tablertown. Not only have I been able to (distantly) meet community members, I also have gotten to know the landscape of the community through my work monitoring and surveying streams with the Monday Creek team. Our Fall Tour in October was a great example of this. It gave us the means to explore the watershed while engaging community members about the past, present, and future of acid mine drainage treatment.”
