Learning Activities, Registration
A frozen lake, pond, or wetland might be a tempting ice skating rink. But a thick layer of ice on top doesn’t stop aquatic life from calling these places home. This week we explore how life is adapted to survive the winter freezing of bodies of water.
Click the link at left for home learning activities associated with this field trip and information on how to register.
You only need to register once for all the winter 2021 field trips. So if you’ve attended a field trip since September, the same link will work through March.
Also, don’t forget to pick up a “program to-go” bag from your local branch of Athens County Public Libraries. Each bag includes reading materials and supplies for activities. Just call your ACPL branch ahead of time to arrange your pickup on Thursday, Feb. 18 — the day before the Virtual Field Trip..
