We are preparing to begin environmental assessments on mine scarred lands in the Headwaters of the Rush Creek Watershed in Perry County, Ohio and we need your input & participation!
We are looking for landowners in the county whose land has been affected by pre-regulation coal mining. This may include things like piles of leftover coal, strip mining pits, and acidic or orange water, where nothing can live, resulting from acid mine drainage.
If that’s you and you are interested in an assessment of your land and learning more about our work, the link to register is below. These assessments will be at no cost to you and would allow for future clean-up efforts. The benefits of this project are a potential for an increase in your property value and resale value, environmental improvement, and local economic development!
Come hear more and tell us about your property or any areas you think would be improved by these efforts.
