Participants will be familiarized with all of the safety concerns involved in welding and metal working. We will then discuss the theory behind welding, how it works, various types of welding and their respective places in industry with time for question and answer. During the second portion of the class, participants will learn how to operate a MIG welder. Upon completion of the class, students should expect to be able to set up a welder and make simple, non-structural welds. They should also have a better understanding of the different welding processes and which one would best serve their needs/interests if they wish to continue welding practice. Class cost: $50 per person. Maximum 3 participants.
