Green Energy Ohio is planning the 2021 Statewide Electric Vehicle Tour the week of June 7, and the tour will be in Athens County for several events on Thursday, June 10. Across the state, Green Energy Ohio will be meeting EV owners and enthusiasts; entrepreneurs and innovators; business leaders and public officials, and asking them to share their perspectives on this transformative technology.

Join SOPEC for a visit to the Athens City Water Treatment Plant to see how municipal services can be managed efficiently with renewable resources.

The home of Ohio University is known for its progressive approach to many issues, and electrification is one that they are embracing. We will meet Mayor Steve Patterson at the Athens Community Center to talk about the city’s efforts.

Reception at Little Fish Brewing Company
The team will sit outside at the Little Fish Brewing Company, while charging their EV, enjoying the fare at a craft brewery dedicated to renewable energy and sustainability, and watching folks riding along the HockHocking Adena Bikeway on electric scooters and bikes.
