Campaign Goal: $5,520
Dollars Raised: $4,136
Rural Action needs your help in creating an equitable and sustainable regional food system. Your donations will provide community members access to high quality fresh produce while supporting local farmers at the Chesterhill Produce Auction. The money raised will be spent at the CPA throughout the 2021 growing season, and the produce will be distributed through Community Food Initiatives’ Veggie Van in the communities of Glouster, Nelsonville, and Coolville.

Double Your Impact
Modern Woodmen of America will match the first $2,500 in donations we receive, which would leave us only $520 from our overall goal if we can earn the entire match.
(Modern Woodmen is the nation’s third-largest fraternal benefit society in terms of assets. Fraternalism is a unique combination of business and giving back to those who are served – a continuous cycle of positive impact.)
Why This Matters
If we meet our goal, we will be able to purchase and deliver over 2,500 pounds – more than 450 half-pecks – of fresh, local produce to rural residents in our region who face limited access to healthy food.
Your donations will help us work for greater food justice in Southeast Ohio. How? You will provide access to local produce for those facing barriers; you’ll strengthen a long-standing partnership between Rural Action, the Chesterhill Produce Auction, and Community Food Initiatives; and you’ll support our local farmers in their critical role. Together we can work for equitable access to the bounty of fresh food from our region.
