Rural Action Hosts Ohio State University Extension Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) Workshop on Wednesday, November 11

Rural Action invites farmers and producers to an Ohio State University Extension Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) workshop on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Marion Community Center in Chesterhill Ohio located at 7474 College St, Chesterhill OH 43728.

The GAP Workshop is an educational course that covers good agricultural practices or ‘GAPs’, which help reduce the risk of on-farm produce contamination. Topics covered will include water quality; worker training, health, and hygiene; manure and compost handling; domestic and wild animals; and more.

The class will cost $20; need based scholarships are available on a case by case basis. You may pay at the door.
