What is a Foodshed?

It’s like a watershed but for food! A “foodshed” refers to all of the food that is produced and consumed in a specific geographic location. When we define this area, we can see how the decisions we make about food will impact our region. This allows consumers to take an active role in building a thriving and vibrant local community.
