How do I
get involved?

To learn about future plant rescues or to receive more information, please call 740-742-4401 or 800-351-5074.

Contribute your sweat, shovel, and time in the forest:
Call us to register as a plant rescue team member; volunteers will be scheduled in a morning or afternoon shift on the plant rescue date preferred. Participants receive training on plant identification and replanting. Pre-registration is a requirement to enter the project site within the Wayne National Forest.

Donate financial support to the Frontier Challenge Grant
Frontier Natural Products Co-op, a co-sponsor of the project, has offered us a $10,000 challenge grant specifically to support the plant rescue.

For every dollar you contribute toward the rescue effort, up to $10,000, they will contribute a matching dollar. You can help us by sending a contribution today.

We will meet at Wayne
National Forest Headquarters in the parking lot. Bring water and sunscreen, and dress for the woods. Lunch will be provided.

Anyone may participate: each rescue outing includes training on plant identification and replanting.

These events provide an opportunity to become skilled at differentiating between native and non-native plants and to take part in
saving some of the genetic heritage of our forest herbs.
