Nathan Schlater, originally from Dayton Ohio, moved to Athens County to attend Hocking Technical
College where he received an Associate Degree in fish management and aquaculture. He then
attended Rio Grande University where he received a B.S. Degree in fish and wildlife conservation and
management. Nate began working with Monday Creek Restoration Project (MCRP), a program of Rural
Action Inc., during the summer of 2008 as an Ohio Department of Natural Resources intern. In 2009,
after graduating from Rio Grande University he was brought on as the full time water quality specialist
at MCRP. He enjoys life, animals, being outside, and playing in the streams. Some of his hobbies include
fishing, gardening, boating, dirt biking, dogs, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
