Mitch graduated from Hocking College in 1978 with a degree in Forestry. He works as a consultant specializing in environmental clearance investigations. He is retired from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources where he spent 32 years as an Environmental Specialist and Program Administrator in the Mineral Resources Management division, overseeing coal mine safety and reclamation in Appalachian Ohio. Mitchell has skills in volunteer organizations, grant management, strategic planning and watershed and forestry issues. Mitch’s family owns an 82 acre certified Tree Farm in Athens County.
