Katelyn Eilbeck joined Rural Action in 2015 as an AmeriCorps member with the COMCorps program through Ohio University’s College of Medicine. She spent a year with the Sustainable Agriculture Program working to create opportunities to access healthy, local food through the Chesterhill Produce Auction, Farm to School Program and Country Fresh Stops Program.
After finishing her service term, Katelyn moved into her current role as the Sustainable Agriculture and Forestry Program Manager. She continues her work, creating opportunities for local food producers and forest farmers in Southeast Ohio for aggregation and distribution of their products.
Before her time at Rural Action, Katelyn graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with degrees in Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies. She went on to serve two years with AmeriCorps, one in Mississippi and one in Kansas City, before landing here in beautiful Appalachian Ohio.
