Gary Goosman

Gary has served as the Director of Senior Programs for the Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development (COAD) since 2007. He serves as the President and Legislative Chairperson of NSCA (National Senior Corps Association) as well as the President of the Ohio Association for Foster Grandparents and Senior Companion Directors. He previously served as the Food bank Director in Cincinnati and the Administrator for the Cincinnati Waldorf School. He also currently serves as the Vice President of the Rural Action Board of Directors and has served as the President of the American Community Gardening Association and President of the Center for Creative Cooperation. Gary has experience in fundraising, budgeting, personnel, strategic planning, volunteer recruitment, facilities management, and marketing. Gary is the Mayor of Amesville in Athens County and operates a Micro-business incubator in Amesville called ACRE (Amesville Community Resources for Entrepreneurs), an effort for which he won the 2014 Jenco Innovative Leader Award recipient presented by the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio.
