Allan is a native-born Appalachian, originally from the Snow Fork area of Monday Creek outside Murray City. He is a graduate of York High School (now Nelsonville-York) and is a self-taught computer guru. Allan loves to work on the hardware side of computers and keeps Rural Action up and running, even saving million dollar grants when the need arises. Allan came to Rural Action as a volunteer working on computers in late 1997 and became a VISTA volunteer in 1998 serving for 4 years. Allan came on staff full-time in 2001 and is currently semi-retired, but keeps busy making sure all our computer systems are operating.
